John BARFOOT was born circa 1766. He married Ann SEARLE on 1 March 1792 in Chobham, Surrey. The marriage was witnessed by Richard Rowland and Thomas Hudson.1 The address was: St. Lawrence Church, High Street, Chobham, Surrey. Before 1841 he was a Distiller's Foreman.2 He appeared in the census on 6 June 1841 in Rotherhithe, Surrey aged 75.3 The address was: St. Mary Workhouse, Deptford Road, Rotherhithe, Surrey. From 1841 to 16 February 1844 he lived in Rotherhithe. The address was: St. Mary Workhouse, Lower Road, Rotherhithe, Surrey. He died on 16 February 1844 (estimated) in Rotherhithe aged 78.4 He was buried on 23 February 1844 in Rotherhithe aged 78. The minister at the burial was Edward Blick.5
