George DOWN (1831?-1900)

George DOWN was born in 1831 (calculated) in Wadhurst, Sussex.¹ On 3 July 1893 he was a Master Shoemaker.¹ On 3 July 1893 he lived in Putney, London.¹ The address was: Ebenezer Cottages, Windsor Street, Putney, London. He married Jane POINTER on 3 July 1893 in Putney when he was 62 and she was 50. The marriage was witnessed by Henry Ernest WHITING and Edith Clara WHITING.¹ The address was: Union Church, Ravenna Road, Putney, London. He witnessed the marriage of Henry Percy MITCHELL and Edith Clara WHITING on 29 August 1896 in Wandsworth, London.² Between 1899 and July 1900 he lived in Putney.^3,4 The address was: 5 Cardinal Place, Putney, London.
