Maria CHANDLER,1 daughter of Henry CHANDLER (1825?-1906) and Mary Ann CURTIS (1825?-1891), was born in January 1853 (estimated) in Betchworth, Surrey.1,2,3 She was baptised on 27 February 1853 in Betchworth. She appeared in the census on 3 April 1881 in Merstham, Surrey aged 28.4 The address was: Albury Farm, Merstham, Surrey. On 3 April 1881 she was a Cook.4
