Eliza Jane GREEN was born in 1843 (calculated) in Uxbridge, Middlesex.¹ She married Charles James GRAY on 18 October 1863 in Wandsworth, Surrey when he was 22 and she was 22. The marriage was witnessed by William Haynes and Sarah Maynard.² The address was: All Saints Church, High Street, Wandsworth, Surrey. She appeared in the census on 2 April 1871 in Putney, Surrey aged 28.³ The address was: 11 Lower Common, Putney, Surrey. On 2 April 1871 she was a Laundress.³ On 21 December 1873 she lived in Putney.⁴ She appeared in the census on 3 April 1881 in Putney aged 38.⁵ The address was: 3 Spencer Cottages, Lower Common, Putney, Surrey. On 3 April 1881 she was a Laundress.⁵ On 31 August 1884 she lived in Putney.⁶ The address was: 3 Spencer Cottages, Lower Common, Putney, Surrey. On 31 March 1901 she was a Laundress.⁸ She appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 in Wandsworth aged 58.⁸ The address was: 73 Summerstown, Wandsworth, Surrey. She appeared in the census on 2 April 1911 in Tooting, London aged 68.⁹ The address was: 73 Summerstown, Tooting, London. On 2 April 1911 she was a Laundress.⁹ Whether Working at Home: At Home. Eliza died on 18 February 1920 (estimated) in Wandsworth, London aged 78.¹⁰ She was buried on 25 February 1920 in Wandsworth.¹¹
