Mary POINTER (1833?- )

Mary POINTER,¹ daughter of Mark POINTER (1798-1835?) and Mary CHANDLER (1808?-1843?), was born in November 1833 (estimated) in Brockham, Surrey.¹ Between November 1833 and 9 April 1835 she lived in Brockham.^1,2 She was baptised on 1 December 1833 in Betchworth, Surrey.¹ She appeared in the census on 6 June 1841 in Betchworth aged 7.³ The address was: Betchworth Lodge, Betchworth, Surrey. She was named as a beneficiary in the will of Hannah MAY on 3 December 1844 in Betchworth together with George Deane, Ann POINTER and Jane POINTER.⁴ She appeared in the census on 30 March 1851 in Betchworth aged 17.⁵ The address was: Upper Street, Betchworth, Surrey. On 30 March 1851 she was a Needlewoman.⁵ On 20 November 1859 she lived in Stockwell, Surrey.⁶ The address was: Wandsworth Road, Stockwell, Surrey. She married Edward Norwood PELLING on 20 November 1859 in Kennington, Surrey. The marriage was witnessed by Jane POINTER.^6,7,8,9 On 16 September 1860 she lived in Wandsworth, Surrey.¹⁰ On 20 May 1866 she lived in Putney, Surrey.¹¹ She appeared in the census on 2 April 1871 in Putney aged 34.¹² The address was: 1 Isabella Cottages, Cooper's Arms Lane, Putney, Surrey. She witnessed the marriage of Alfred Thomas PELLING and Mary Ann CLARK on 7 November 1880 in Wandsworth.¹³ She appeared in the census on 3 April 1881 in Putney aged 42.¹⁴ The address was: 1 Isabella Cottages, Cooper's Arms Lane, Putney, Surrey. She appeared in the census on 5 April 1891 in Putney, London aged 52.¹⁵ The address was: 16 Redgrave Villa, Victoria Road, Putney, London. She died.
