Elizabeth BOWERS (1863-1935)

Elizabeth Caroline BOWERS,¹ daughter of George Dady BOWERS (1841-1908) and Caroline Jemima GRAY (1844-1919), was born Q4 1863 in Putney, Surrey.^1,2 She was baptised on 21 February 1864 in Putney. The ceremony was conducted by Robert Healey.³ She appeared in the census on 2 April 1871 in Putney aged 7.¹ The address was: 34 Lower Common, Putney, Surrey. On 2 April 1871 she was a Scholar.¹ She appeared in the census on 3 April 1881 in Putney aged 19.⁴ The address was: 20 Carlton Road, Putney, Surrey. On 3 April 1881 she was a Housemaid.⁴ She and John Henry GALE had marriage banns published on 29 April 1883 in Putney.⁵ She married him in May 1883 (estimated) in Putney.⁶ She appeared in the census on 5 April 1891 in Fulham, London aged 27.⁷ The address was: 6 Princes Mews, Fulham, London. She appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 in Fulham aged 37.⁸ The address was: 18 Argon Mews, Fulham, London. On 31 March 1901 she was a Housemaid.⁸ She appeared in the census on 2 April 1911 in Fulham aged 47.⁹ The address was: 13 Brookville Road, Fulham, London. In 1933 she lived in Fulham.¹⁰ The address was: 151 Munster Road, Fulham, London. She died Q3 1935 in Fulham aged 71.¹¹
