Frederick STEPHENS (1871?- )

Frederick George STEPHENS,¹ son of Henry STEPHENS (1830?-1906) and Martha Elizabeth GRAY (1838?-1915), was born in November 1871 (estimated) in Putney, Surrey.^1,2 He was baptised on 21 December 1871 in Putney.¹ He appeared in the census on 3 April 1881 in Putney aged 9.³ The address was: 11 Biggs Row, Charlwood Road, Putney, Surrey. On 3 April 1881 he was a Scholar.³ He appeared in the census on 5 April 1891 in Putney, London aged 19.⁴ The address was: 11 Biggs Row, Putney, London. On 5 April 1891 he was a Labourer.⁴ On 23 July 1893 he lived in Paddington, London.⁵ The address was: 122 Kilburn Park Road, Paddington, London. On 23 July 1893 he was a Labourer in Paddington.⁵ He married Eliza GOODING on 23 July 1893 in Kilburn, London when he was 22 and she was 19. The marriage was witnessed by William STEPHENS and Catherine Amelia KIMBERLEY.⁵ The address was: Parish Church of Saint John, Kilburn Lane, London. He appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 in Brixton, London aged 29.⁶ The address was: 98 Effra Parade, Brixton, London. On 31 March 1901 he was a General Labourer.⁶ He appeared in the census on 2 April 1911 in Herne Hill, London aged 39.⁷ The address was: 101 Railton Road, Herne Hill, London. On 2 April 1911 he was a General Labourer.⁷ On 29 January 1921 he was a Cricket Groundsman.⁸ He died. He witnessed the marriage of Walter Edward STEPHENS and Elsie Winifred STEPHENS on 29 January 1921 in Kilburn.^8,9
